Correct Fan and Spacer for 73 351C-2V

I just pulled this fan and spacer off of my 73 convertible. The previous owner must have installed this for some reason. It’s a steel 4 bladed fan with a 1966 number on it with a 1971 spacer. I installed a five bladed flex fan with a 2 1/2 inch spacer like my other 73s have. My car is an early 1973 but is there any chance this was installed at the factory? The car is a 66k mile original.

C6AE-E is the standard cooling fan for the non-A/C 73 6cyl and 302/351 cars. It was also used on the previous years as well. There was a change to the D2OE fan in 2/73.

Great info! My convertible was built in November of 72 so based on your chart above, it is the correct fan for a 351c-2V without AC. I’ll keep the fan, but I like the flex fan better so I will run with that. Thanks for the reply!

After reading some more about flex fans for our cars, maybe I’m better off with the old steel 4 blade fan.
