Defrost knob on the dash

Hi,

I want to know how the "DEFROST" knob on the dash is working about the rear glass heat option.

I don't know if the knob "ON" position stay on for a time(minutes) or must you self setting the knob on the "OFF" position for stopping with heating.

I want this knob use for rear Fog light... is this possible with this knob?

The power says on until switched to off. There is no timer relay on the rear defrost as far as I know. The wiring harness does include a relay but I have no idea if it would be appropriate for fog lights.

To activate the rear window defroster heating element a switch is used. The switch is identical (in appearance) to the convertible top switch. It is a toggle type of switch.
