I have a question about a distributor that came off of my 302 engine that was in a 73 Coupe. The distributor has two wires coming out of it, one went to the coil, the other one went????? The open wire just has a bullet type of connection on it. I was thinking it went to a tach but my car never had one, anybody knows what that wire went too.

Stock points dizzy I've seen only came with one wire, so I assume it's electronics. If like the Pertronix setup, then red to + on coil and black to - on coil

Are the casting numbers still legible on the upper parts of the housing? If so, you can probably do a search and find out more about the distributor. Chuck
