Those lights are really cool. I've never seen those before. I agree they are probably to show the smoking tires at night. The car has the big rear sway bar and that is a plus. You mentioned a regular 429. I was thinking it was a CJ motor but not original to the car. Is it a CJ? Thanks for the candid appraisal Matt! Glad it ended up in the hands of someone who will give the car the attention it deserves.

The block casting no. is DOVE-A, the heads are DOVE-C's and the intake is a DOVE-9425-B used on non-Hi Po four barrel engines. 

I don't think there's any external markings that can be used to learn more- all of the casting date info is inside the engine unless I'm mistaken.

It works for the moment- the intake is so low that the incorrect 351C air cleaner works without an issue!
