Engine Parts

So I just bought a 1973 Ford Mustang Coupe, but I don't know what piece I'm missing off the engine. The engine runs fine but when I bought it there was this base plate, towards the drivers side in front of engine, that had nothing connected to it. What would have gone there?

That would be the air con compressor bracket, does it still have factory air con controls?

For sure air conditioner compressor sits there. Should look like this pic. Mine is a 351 C but same compressor. You should have opening in firewall with key hole shape also and of course the duct work and controls inside the car.
