FMX leaking

My FMX is leaking where the shifter linkage plate goes into the trans housing. I'm guessing there is a seal there. Is it hard to fix?

The valve body has to come out. It is a little tricky but doable.

I just paid out $550.00 to have my '73 Mach 1's FMX tranny fully serviced and the selector fixed for a mild leak problem as well.

Not cheap, but worth it for me.

The main reason I decided not to get my fmx rebuilt was the fact that I need travel on freeways to get anywhere!

And revving at 3200rpm sitting on 100km/h was driving me nuts! Mind you the heater works a treat in winter. He he

That's why the decision to go to AOD was a no brainer for me.

That was the main reason, other reasons are leaks (weeps) which I just couldn't get rid of no matter what I tried.(and I don't give up easy).

Other minor reasons were compatibility issues with my megashifter, etc

Well I just cleaned and painted the whole belly of my car, and have to at least try to fix this issue. Thanks gents!!
