Hello, looking for a decent center console for my FB. (automatic)

PM me with details. Thanks

Where are you located? I know where several are but they will not ship them. I had to get mine from a forum member out of Canada.

I have one I'm thinking of selling. It is in ok restored condition in black, but nowhere near perfect. Problem is I'm in Canada and cross border shipping even with my FedEx account, will be more than it is worth.
However it's out there now.

I bought mine from a member in Canada. Cost me $125 for shipping to Florida. Well worth it since the others I found wouldn't even consider shipping.

Good deal. I sent one across country to BC a few years back and that cost $150 Cdn. $125 US would be about $170 Cdn right now to Florida.
Also, when I shipped that one to BC, I made a 'crate' with 1x2's, lots of bubble wrap and a strong carboard exterior, Time and materials was worth about 50 bucks on top, but at least it got there in one piece!
For the one I've got, probably not worth it, but........

I have this one in Michigan, but it hasn't been cleaned up yet. The console lid will need to be replaced.

Yeah, I held my breath for a week waiting to see how mine arrived but GARYCOBRAJET packed it very well, padding and triple boxed. I bet adding that big insurance option helped out tremendously as UPS usually destroys everything they bring to me. This time the box wasn't even dirty.

That's really good for you. I NEVER use UPS. Importing with them results in brokerage fees on top of high shipping rates. Besides, a neighbor drives for UPS and he won't even use them, now that's saying something.

They didn't charge me much more than shipping from 25 miles away this time for some reason. FedEx is the guarantee of destruction in my area. USPS is always great, UPS is 50% and FedEx is 100% killed and destroyed even it's it's SS ball bearings.

That's funny.

I had once been on the hunt for a nice quality full length center console for both of our 73 Mustangs. I ended up getting new ACP units, in black. I am not certain who the reseller was, but they are available - albeit costly. Around $700 each I think.

Anyway, I am very happy with how the consoles turned out. I did replace their ash trays with a fabricated Power Panel, however. It was easy enough to do, using a power panel plastic sheet made for marine and automotive use, then getting some power outlet (two 12v outlets), a dual USB outlet, then filling the 4th hole with a digital voltmeter display.

Attached are some photos of the project.

Yeah, I saw them. It seems like EVERYTHING for the car is $500-900! It's really getting old.

Could you elaborate a bit on what's in the opening where the clock would go in the console, looks like a screen for something? I've toyed with the idea of something similar so I'm eager to hear about that! Thanks!
