Front tire sizing.

I’m thinking of changing my front tires from a 235/60 to a 225/70.
Because I think the 235/60 is to short looking. I have 275/60 on the back and they are 28 inches. The 235/60 is 26.1 and the 225/70 is 27.4
I know if the tire gets too tall it can hit the frame when the wheel is turned all the way.
Has anyone ran a tire that tall on the front with a 15x7 Magnum?

I run 215/65x15 BFG Radial TA's with 15 inch Magnum 500s on the front of my '72 convertible. Never had a clearance issue.

Fronts on my 71 are 255/60R15 on 15X8. The tire *just* kisses the driver's side rail on a full lock left turn. Diameter on this tire is 27" according to Cooper, and they are spec'd for a 7"~9" rim width.

It says it’s 27 inches tall so it’s about the same as a 225/70.
What is your back spacing?

Fronts are 245/60x15 on 15x7.

The 255/60 puts a lot more tire on the road than the 225/70.

I’d run fat and skinnies if I had some Welds on it or even Cragars.
