I don't know about y'all but my weakness is having to stop for stranded motorists. I should have a big sign that says "I brake for open hoods"
Not even 30 minutes ago I decided to stop for fuel at the local super market and saw a fellow dually driver (although his was dodge) with his hood up so I swung by to see what I could do. He has a 95 dodge 3500 with the cummins 12 valve and nv4500 5 speed manual. He explained that he had just refueled and went to start it and thinks he didn't wait long enough for the glow plugs to warm up. I listened to his explanation and took a look and figured a fuel problem so I showed him the manual fuel pump on the drivers side block and had him turn it over. That's when I noticed the fuel shut off solenoid was not flipping over so I manually pulled it up and had him turn it over and presto change-o it started. I showed him what I did and what could cause it and he was happy as could be to know his truck still lives.
It's days like these why I spent the last 5 years of my live teaching myself to work on these lovely machines.![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
