I am looking for a set of 4 15x7 factory steel rims.
Thanks, Peter

What condition are you looking for? And are you trying to have them shipped or go pick them up?

I have a set down here in GA that are driver quality. There's paint on the front and surface rust on the back. They could be cleaned up with evaporust or sand blasting. You'll pay more to ship them than the price to buy them. :D

Really? You have a set?

If the OP passes on them let me know, I've been looking for a while now...

I have a set of sport hubcaps 15x7 in a box in my basement.. these are like hens teeth also. I have not been able to find the matching rims.

Was there anything special about the 15" wheels from the mustangs? I went out and looked and my 69 t-bird has 15" steel wheels on it. I pulled off the hub cap and was able to put the mustang dog dish on it. The tire size says 225/75r15. The spare tire is the same size.

This car is already destined to a family member, so I can't just go pulling the wheels off it without checking with them first. If these will work, then it may be worth checking the local listings for old t-birds. Or if you shoot me an offer, I can run it by the family member to see if he wants to let these ones go.

Yes, the Mustang received 15X7" steel wheels when optioned with the F60-15 tires. They were also standard equipment on the 70 Boss 302, 71 Boss 351 and 72 351HO cars, hence why they are so valuable. They are a unique wheel, only used on the 70-72 Mustang & Cougar and 70-71 Torino & Montego. Your T-bird should have 15X5.5" wheels.

There would be a green paint daub on the rear, and the center is a round disc, unlike the style with the four windows. Pretty much any Ford steel wheel of the era will accept the dog dish hub cap.

For those that don't need factory Ford original unobtanium wheels, the Series 62 Wheel Vintiques steelie will accept the dog dish cap and the (if you can find them) the specific trim ring for the 15X7 wheel.
