Has anyone seen the new 2015 Mustang in Car & Driver?

I like it too. Worse though is that my wife likes it too and she is wanting an upgrade from her 05 vert. I suppose she will be mustang shopping once they become available.

I think the 3.7L would be a fine engine choice in a vert.

I wish they would adopt a more exagerated rear fender well... That's whet makes our vintage look so cool, in my opinion, especially the verts

Don,

That is a good thing, more mustangs in the family, and a vert to boot with 305hp. I've been trying to talk my bride into a late model mustang for a while. She doesn't like 2 door cars. A friend of mine just bought an F150, real nice truck, but real pricey! I want a truck, but paying close to $40K for a pickup is crazy to me. Good luck...

I like it. The grille might look better with some GT driving lights!

Wow, the back seat and the rear glass do not leave much room. The interior dash needs to have the three gauges in the center of the dash. I still like the mustang that had the flat rear bumpers before they went to the Toyota rear look.

I'm personally stoked about the possible increase of power in the future, rear independent suspension, and lighter weight. I'm pretty sure my other half would feel more comfortable with me being in this beast as a daily driver vs the dinky Miata I'm currently using. :p

I'm glad it's not as far from the current design as the early speculations showed the direction was going.

The nose looks great, all things considered. I do think they could've done a little better job with the headlights to preserve the current 'look' a bit more (rather than go as far in the 'Japanamation' direction).

The rear end, however... I'm not as much of a fan. The tail light strips should be verticle in orientation - it's a Mustang styling cue that should be adhered to (much like the dual sets of round tail lights on Corvettes). Again, too much 'Japanamation' influence, IMHO.

I'm not a fan of the quarter window treatment, either. Looks too '370Z' to me - should've just stuck with a small Shelby-style window (like the current model), or made it look more '69-'73 style, again to maintain the Mustang styling cue motiff.

Otherwise, it looks pretty cool. I think it would be top 3 on my list if I were thinking about buying a new car.

now that I look at it from a different angle, I think it looks better than I thought originally.
The top picture is definitely a [well done] Photoshopped image, and I suspect the bottom has had some work done to it as well.

That's the problem with 'leaked' design scoops by the automotive rags - you never know what you're going to get until the model is actually released because of 'concept cars' being displayed at SEMA and other auto shows.

Before I bought the 2013 last month I debated on waiting for the 2015 instead. I glad I chose the 2013. The 2015 looks too much like they put a Fusion front end on it. The rest isn't much of a change.

The more I think of it, I just can't compliment the emperor's new clothes. I don't like it. Dodge and Chevy are outflanking Ford in the style arena.

Sorry guys but I hate the front end, just not my taste at all. When I go to the mall in the girlfriends Honda, I have to click the lock button just to find the right car cause they all look alike now, and I don't want some old lady with a hybrid fusion clicking at my mustang in a parking lot cause she thought it was hers. Or someone asking if it's a two door charger.

The grille & headlights kinda looks like a snake or viper is staring at you
