make good business decisions for my business... but not for myself?
I'm rocking along, no more 80 hour weeks, no more taking your money (yes I mean all of you) no more ruining your lives for the sake of an awesome salary (again ALL of you)..... I give it up. I get back into a business with a friend but I contract to him and 2 other companies as a consult. We live okay not in the top 20% anymore but not far away.
I want to reduce my personal exposure and git a real job...for the next 10 years. I can ALWAYS come back to this, its like a *****'n ole hat always fits. I havent done this business in 12 years or more and walk in with NO customers in a new market and first year do 1.1 million. My search for a real job, I get nothing for 4 months. In ONE week I have 4 offers. 1 is very good..two make sense but not as much money. 1 "could be" a diamond in the rough
I'll be DaMNED if My main customer/old friend.... says "we want to talk...would you consider a partnership" (I've increased their new business 1.8 million last year and 1.1 the prior year. However Im very demanding and unfortunately their business is great but I would take what I can save them as my salary if they gave me full control of the business.!!!! They kill me with some of their decisions and have a GREAT product and pizz me off daily. Some times eff me up ...not over but up with poor management.
I could take "easy street" or really work hard for the big payoff and I cant seem to make myself walk away from these guys.
