I was looking at my stripe kit from Graphic Express today. It is the hockey stripe Mach I kit.

I have a coupe. The Mach I lettering for above the key lock is too tall, about 3". The space on my lid is like half that.

Is the face of the lids different heights from coupe to fastback? If so, does anyone sell the lettering sized to fit coupes, or am I destined to just use the stripes, not lettering? Seems like there is always something, lol! Thanks for any info!

Took some more pics. This is definitely the trunk one, not the fender. The decal is about 3 inches tall, and the face of the decklid is only about 5 inches.

The lock is about in the middle of lid. I looked at some pics of fastbacks, and the lock is further down, so I'm thinking the face of those are bigger than a coupe. If someone can verify that for me, would be great! But looking right now that this decal won't fit coupes

My 1972 Sportsroof:

Thank you so much! Not the answer I was hoping for, but at least now I know. I wouldn't have guessed there was a difference, learn something new every day, lol!

Guess now I will have to decide what I want to do on the back. Maybe I'll make a poll this weekend when I can figure out my options. Thanks!

Perhaps mount the " Mach 1" decal to the right edge of the trunk. Similar to the factory 1972 "Mustang" trunk script.

There's something fishy about your rear deck. ClevelandCrush's pictures shows about 7" from bumper to top of lid; yours shows about 5.5".

He's trying to install the decal on a coupe decklid, which is much shorter than a sportsroof.

Maybe use Cleveland Crush's idea of putting it on the right side. Might look good if you cut out the overlapping areas of the stripe to give a blank border around the letters.

Why! Why do you have to put Mach1 stickers on a Coupe car?

I just like the looks, lol. I am putting a NASA hood, and Mach I grill, ect on it, too. I have gotten so I really like the coupe bodystyle, but also like all the Mach I stuff, so best of both worlds for me :)
