1971 Mustang Grande
We bought an original 40,000 mile Mustang Grande. 302 auto car, factory AC that still works. California car, clean body and under carriage. 1 repaint that is showing it's age. The interior is in need of some updating. Doing all the regular preventative maintenance right now. Cleaning and more cleaning, oil change, carb rebuild, and still more cleaning.

Looking forward to doing some research on this forum. Thanks guys.

Welcome, Paul, and howdy from Texas! Your 71 looks like a great find! There are a few good ones left, they're just getting harder to find.

Start a build thread and keep us posted on your progress. You'll find plenty of advise and encouragement from the members here. This forum is the best for our years of Mustangs.

Welcome from So Cal. I also have a place in western Az. Looks like a gem. What are you short and long term plans for the car?
My plan for this car is to make it a reliable cruiser able to do weekend road trip driving, maybe take a trophy at a car show, and definitely garner attention. I am not doing a full restoration, the cost is not justifiable. This one desperately needed to be saved. After going over the mechanicals to make it safe to drive, the interior will be done, and everything will work as the factory deigned it to.

I plan to keep it for several years. It will take me that long to get it where I want it. Then it will go on to a new owner to enjoy and have his fun with.

This will be the third car I have done this to since retiring. I dont do restorations, would rather call them resurrections.
