Had a little victory at work here today. Owner's son's '00 Camaro has had a driveability issue for going on six months. Been looked at, poked, prodded and sent to two dealerships with no improvement, just spending a bunch of money. Car would run fine, then would run like garbage, light up the dash like an Xmas tree, stank of raw fuel and misfiring badly. Our in-house guy put it on the lift and found an O2 sensor harness melted to the header, but no damage to the wires inside. Looking further, and searching specifically for grounds, he found one that was loose, and another that was snapped off it's terminal lug. Repaired those two, then cleaned and reseated all the others, the car now runs perfect. They went on a fifteen mile drive and it ran like a champ.

Always, always, always start with the grounds.
