Anyone follow the LWS? Watched the kids from Goodlettsville, TN put the smack down a team from Nebraska. But looks like the Chinese have brought another strong team this year. Guess they did not like losing last year.

I play basketball on Tuesdays and Thursdays so I missed it.

Yup, that's some good ball playin'.

Much more enjoyable to watch than any "pro" ball game of any sort IMO.

My 11 year old boys' LL team won only 1 game this year, the one that he couldn't attend. He could care less, loves to play, win or lose.

I have never cared for any ball sports all of my life, but next year I am going to volunteer to be an assistant coach (I don't know enough to be the head coach). I'd like to see them win a few. They're great kids, just in need of some individualized training that they didn't get this past season. Can't wait till then.

Thats cool my buddy coaches 7 year old football and I go with him a lot. We have a ball with them.

I was ast coach on my son's team when he was 6 or 7...two other fathers coached with me....we thought it was a great game when we had all of them facing the right way and not picking dandelions in the outfield or building sandcastles along the baseline! Wouldn't have traded that for anything! lol

Alot of that goes on at that age.

I coached baseball when I was in college. I was shooting basketball and saw kids struggling to catch fly balls, walked over to them and explained a few things to them and they started catching them well. The coaches who were friends with my Dad came over after practice and asked me if I wanted to be a coach. I loved it and did it for 3 years then started coaching at my Jr High School for football helping my old coach. Once my daughter started wantilng to play sports I ended up coaching again, softball and basketball. Love helping kids as much as I love Mustangs.

My son plays travel ball but only made the B team this year. Our A team from our little town won New England regionals. His buds are at the Cal Ripken (not LL) WS. My son watches every game on his computer and is texting with the guys on the team constantly. It is killing him that he isn't there.

They played a team that had a kid that was 6'-3".

This is a 12 year old team.

My son is 4'-10" and weighs 86 lbs.
