Looking to buy a Ford Ranger.

Hey guys. Just wanted to put a feeler out there to see if anyone has a Ford Ranger for sale. Looking to buy one for my son’s 16th birthday. I am willing to travel for the right one. Can need some work. Looking in the late 90s early 2000s. Don’t want to pay $10k for a 20 year old beat Ranger. Lol. Prices are crazy right now but if you have any leads let me know. Prefer 4x4 and manual trans. Thanks for looking!

Sorry never did update this post. We did find a nice little 2005 Ranger 4x4 with a 5 speed. My son was pretty happy with his birthday present.

My first car was a 95ish ranger with the 5 speed and 2.3l. it was cheap to drive and pretty low maintenance. But they're close to 20 years older now.

I will say if you get a kid a truck, he's gonna use it like a truck. And he'll be the one all his friends want to move **** for them. He'll probably haul and tow stuff unsafely.

And if you get a kid a manual, eventually he's gonna learn how to rev it to 4k rpm and dump the clutch. Even that 2.3l will roast the tires if you trash it. I know mine did.

Glad you found one. My son has for sale a 2000 Ranger, 135k miles, 4 cylinder, 2-wheel, automatic std cab, blue/grey vinyl for $4,750 if you need another one!
