My Car
1972 Red Mustang convertible
I have a 1972 Mustang with front disk brakes. I took it for a drive after the car sat for about 2 months. The brakes were soft at the beginning of the drive and 5 minutes into it, were about 95% gone. I had to put my foot to the floor to get the vehicle to slow down. The red brake light on the dash also came on.

Just looking for some advice at where to start trouble shooting.

I didn't see any fluid on my garage floor

Cheers,

Casey

i would start with a new master , the seals sound like their gone ,and flush the whole brake system. you may need wheel cylinders as well.brake fluid will go bad and corrode the system .how long has the fluid been in the system ? just my thoughts

+1, especially if you don't have any leaks and the MC has fluid in it. One side of the MC likely makes more pressure than the other one, triggering the light.

I had same issue except the seal was gone in rear of MC causeing a tiny leak but more importantly air sucking into the system. Replaced the MC and its been lovely since.
