All,

A Mustang friend of mine and I were talking about EFI’s systems on our classic Mustangs over the weekend. He stated that he had his friend installed the FITech fuel injection system. They ended up replacing his distributor with an electronic controlled Advance that is now controlled by the EFI system.

Wow, would they make an EA type distributor for carbureted Ford Engines? Yes they do.

Mallory and MSD now have them on the market.

This will eliminate the issues with the Vacuum and Mechanical advance issues related to carburetor engines.

Mallory E-Fire distributors are true "fire up and go" all-electronic advance distributors that don't require an ignition box for operation. E-Fire distributors feature full timing control, both rpm and vacuum-based. Seven pre-programmed custom advance curves are included, or you can design your own with the included Windows-based software.
