My emblems rattle.. what's the cure?

Both of my 'Mustang' script emblems 'rattle'. Any tricks to getting them snug? I removed them when I had the car painted but left the inserts in place. I may have aftermarket emblems.

I don't believe those clips are really designed to be reused, which is probably why they're loose. For both the rattle and security I would also use double-sided emblem tape.

Why not purchase some new barrel clips. They are not that expensive. To remove the old, use dental floss (Thanks to tip from Midlife)

Wear gloves. Wrap floss a few turns around the slightly raised outside of the clip and pull.

Heavy leather work gloves work well.
