Hey everyone,

I am looking to see if anyone can answer a couple of questions for me regarding the name of the parts is called.

First two pictures:

I am looking for a replacement hinge for the escape door in the trunk (I think that's what it's called) since my door doesn't hold on to the latch and falls down. I was wondering if anyone had any links or the name for the part as I have been looking for a bit and can't seem to find it or perhaps I have found it I just don't know if I have if that makes sense.

Third Picture:

I am also looking to replace what seems to be a plastic bumper cover (What I'm holding in my hand that is blue) as I am going to prep my mustang for paint and the one I have now is not in the best shape and would rather put paint on a new one than the old one. If anyone could give me a link or exactly what it's called please let me know as I can only ever find the black bumper guard underneath it.

Fourth Picture:

My final question is about a brake light switch. Sometimes the break light when I press the pedal doesn't work and I have to play with the switch my question is should I just keep retightening it or do you think its just a faulty switch. I constantly re adjust it for it to work and I don't know if its something I am doing wrong or the switch is bad and I should change it.

Please let me know what you guys can find out and thank you all!

I can’t answer everything, but the front bumper is urethane, and it’s not reproduced. There are repair kits, other options are chrome or primed metal bumpers and rubber filler inserts for the corners…

I used the technique Chuck described above when redoing the front bumper on the Rickster and it works well. You can find pictures and a write-up of what I did in the Rickster build thread. It's on page 9, post #173. I hope that helps.

Thanks for the information on repairing a Urethane Rubber Front Bumper. Great information to have handy. I have one for sale if someone is needing one but you will have to refurbish it.
