Ladies and gentlemen,

Can you please help me identify this wire and help determine if it is unplugged? I did some gauge / dash work recently and upon conclusion noticed the wire in the attached picture. It's 2 ea blue and black wires into a rectangular end and appears to be two pronged. It's located on the far left side under my dash above the light switch. I'm guessing it's an accessory for something I don't use or do not have equipped.

I checked my fullsized, color wiring diagram and I can't figure it out.

72 Coupe, standard gauges (no tach). Thanks in advance.

Black/light blue wires come from the headlamp switch and go to door jamb switches for dome light/map light/courtesy light activation. Do your dome lights work?

Steve,

Thanks man, interesting. My dome light works and always has. After reviewing my wiring diagram, it's definitely one of the door lights, but again, they work fine. Is this supposed to plug in somewhere close to the light switch? I can't see the backside under the dash very well but it doesn't feel like there is anything to plug it into and the wires are pretty short.

Thanks MidLife, I'll keep digging around to see if I can find where (or if) it should be plugged in but everything appears to be functioning normally (other than my turn signals with the lights on, but that's a different thread).
