Negative battery wire

Hey guys, I'm about ready to start my car for the first time, and I'm not sure where the negative wire routes to. The motor is a 302 and I do not see any tabs or mounts on the block (like Clevelands have) for the wire. Doe it go to the block or elsewhere on the chassis?

mine goes from the batterys NEG terminal, to an screw on the Body, then to the Engine block just under Cyl 1 .

there is a bolt for the ground.

My ground wire has a tab that adds an additional ground for the voltage regulator. Goes on the lower mounting bolt of the regulator...then down to the block.

I don't know how I missed that grounding bolt hole, geez. Thanks guys!!

I checked mine, yesterday, but didn't have the camara on me, the bolt is on the Engine block, and not the head.

remember to clean all the paint off the engine block bolt and engine block face so the ground is solid. you can use some dielectric grease on the connection as well to keep the connection from corroding.
