So after a few days off we got back on the stang today..really going to town..I needed to get the door off to finish welding up the front edge I made..I totally forgot there were some small spots that need patches on the hinge piller...So doing that tomorrow..prepped the remainder of the jamb for epoxy..bead blasted the hinges.. I'm doing a new video for you guys on the Mustang Steve hinge rebuild kit..

Hi S,

Hope you're keeping well.

I have a question for you or any members that may know. My door hinges on my '73. Passengers side is original and in top condition, and drivers side has been totally rebuilt based on a genuine Ford part.

Question. When i open both doors, the stay open action really does not have much effect at all, as though there's nothing happening to help keep the doors open.

Was this common to most or all '71 to'73's or what.

Thanks,

Greg:)

G,

Your gonna see tomorrow night when I get the video done..How to fix your problem..I'm pretty sure I know what it is because mine HAD the same problem..It's the roller & spring..check both rollers..& look at the spring where it makes contact with the rollers I bet it's wore down..I'm going to show how I repair that problem in the video..

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh man... the things I do. :s

Honestly, I'd be surprised if Scott does it - and totally not disappointed if he chooses not to... he already has a great video series as it is. I just made the comment to poke a little fun.

But if he does do it - I'm sure it'll be hilarious, and I hope William (and the other guys at Mustang Medic) takes it in stride and everybody has some fun with it.
