I'm kinda on the fence about Magnum 500s. They are indeed some of the coolest factory wheels available - WAY better than hub caps and rings (IMHO)... but they are done to death. Everybody [just about] seems to have them. Blah.

Personally, I like something in a 5-spoke design - some look better bigger, some look better smaller. The rims I want are Torque Thrust IIs, wrapped by BFGs... but my mind is open to the Torque Thrust D, Cragar S/S, AR 200 - "Daisy/Coke Bottles," or some Centerlines. I'm more into the 'old school restomod' look than the new larger diameter wheels.

Interestingly enough - rims seem to have the biggest visual impact on a car (short of changing paint colors) - swap on a set of nice, shiny, wider rims on low profile tires from a set of hubcaps and whitewall pizza cutters, and the change is drastic!
Check out the COYS wheel site for something a little different

When I was looking to replace my factory forged wheels, it seemed the majority of these cars had magnum 500s on them. They do look good, but I wanted to be different. I loved the factory mags, but needed a bigger wheel to support a real tire size. I went with 15x8 Ansen Sprints.

I really liked the Mag 500s on my car. Like Jeff posted earlier make sure they are balanced off the lugs not the center hole. I had reproduction wheels and the chrome was good looking but you need to stay on top of them as the quality is only OK. If you keep them ckean and protected they will stay nice.

I changed to a more modern wheel since the car is moving to a more modified "road car" type use.

Yeah, I really like those!!!

I personally like the look of the Magnum 500's the best. My car had 14 inch Magnum's on the car when I bought her. They were rusted really bad. I decided to buy repop 15 inch Magnums from CJ's. Front are 7 inch with 225/60/15 and the rears are 8 inch 245/60/15. They sold them as a set mounted/balanced with center caps and lugs for $1,083 with free shipping.
