After reading about the incident of 1 man killing 16 civilians in Afganistan, I felt compelled for the first time to comment on an MSNBC article! So you know, "Only he and god knows what happened they'll work it out." We pray for the safe return and health of those who protect us.

I can't say what transpired on this issue, but I know things are tough for all active duty personnel. The Air Force last year lost more people due to suicide than combat.

I heard this guy has served multiple tours over the last several years.

We are asking WAY too much of our best and brightest, repeated tours and leaving their families twisting in the wind. Washington should be ashamed. They make sweetheart deals for themselves and ignore our citizen soldiers.

Not only is our government asking too much of our soldiers but not getting them the right treatment. My father in law is a Vietnam Vet who infiltrated enemy lines for our country. He was exposed to agent orange on multiple occasions and the VA has the gall to try and blame his extensive health issues on him rather than provide the proper treatment and care befitting of a man who has stepped up and fought for us rather than wait for his draft number to be picked. It angers and saddens me to no end that he is treated this way and that our current soldiers' situation has not improved any. :(
