I am working on the install of the fuel vapor lines, brake lines and fuel lines. I have the Manuel and the old lines to see two are together on one side and one alone on the others. The preformed lines are not quite painting a clear picture. Can you guys help out with pics or diagrams to help me run these in the right spots? Thanks
 
I don’t have brake or fuel line photos, but I do have the vapor recovery line pic from an original, not restored 1973 (I don’t know if it’s the same as a 72). From the rear of the car where the line connects to the fuel tank (pic1), then two pics showing it’s path through the driveshaft tunnel (pic 2/3), to pic 4 which shows it coming out of the tunnel to the firewall, to the final pic 5 showing it routed to the vapor canister on the passenger side. This is very helpful. I think I can follow this to copy it. I see the two are tight together and I see the vapor line end and rubber pick up. Little unclear near tank still if anyone else has the break or fuel line or tank hook up and body mount points. Thanks
 
I found two more photos, showing the turn of the brake line in front of the rear axle and how it connects to the bracket on the drivers side to the brake hose to the axle. I made yellow arrows to point out what is the brake line. In this area, the brake line is covered with a spring wound cover, for protection. Hope these help. Steve

My vapor line is as Steve described, starting in middle front of tank, up and over axle up the DS tunnel on DS and to the firewall over to the canister.

So if your vapor line is up the DS, are all three lines run up the DS (brake fuel vapor)? I though the Manuel showed Vapor on passenger but it was not a clear picture or maybe I miss read it

The rear brake line comes up with the vapor line and then branches over to the master cylinder. I moved the harness so now if you look closely, the brake line to the RF looks like it is with the vapor line but is coming from the MC.

I think I get what you are asking. There is one master line from MC to the rear (that mounts with vapor line) and on the axle housing there is a valve going out to L & R brake cylinders.

Fuel line runs down the driver's side rocker.

Vapor and brake run down the tunnel. There are some good photos on the 429 Megasite of the routings. Keep in mind that the 429CJ had an additional return line parallel with the fuel line, the 429SCJ and the rest of the engines did not.

Here is what I have from Forel Shop Manual, Volume 6, Emission Control Systems. It has a section covering the Fuel Evaporative Control, to include several useful diagrams. I also have some photos I took of our 73 Mustang Convertible's Fuel Evaporative Control. I see you have already received a lot of photos and tips. I have little more to offer, other than the diagrams from the Shop Manual. My photos may be redundant. I will say this, the Fuel Evaporative Control system is one of those rare emission control systems that actually does good, a lot of good, with no downside. It is too often misunderstood and bypassed or defeated by folks who so not understand how it works, much less why it is in place to begin with (other than part of government required emission control purposes). I rank this at the level of PCV systems re: it far outweighing any alleged negatives when set up and working properly.
