Power Steering pump issues

Got a call last night from my uncle (who is a mechanic and has been all his life) and said that his power steering pump has blown the resivoir off again. Now a little history first. Everything on this car was new when installed a couple years ago to include hoses ,pump, steering box, etc...

he is on aboubt the 5th or 6th pump now all with the same issue. the last two came from Ford. Any ideals as what would cause this thing to build so much pressure? Is thier a relief valve in the system that could be sticking?

yes there is a restriction valve that screws in between the gear box and high pressure line, check to see if it is there...may not have gotten installed

It installs into the box, then the high pressure line screws into it...sorry no pics
