I don't think that the reaction disk is your problem. I would try adjusting the proportioning valve, try to get more front brake bias.

Did you check the push rod/master cylinder clearance when you put the new one in?
I have played with the proportioning valve with no change in the front.

I didnt check the rod clearance when i installed the MC. That's why i dont know if i should disassemble the MC to check, but then i run the risk of losing the disk if it still there.

Don, thanks for the reassurance, I think I got lucky!!

As for the clearance and as mention before, I used a small pill of Plasticine. Drop it into the M/C piston and loosely reassemble the M/C to the booster. Remove and with a caliper, measure the thickness where the pill has been squished by the pushrod. It should be about .015". To big a gap and the brakes will be not as reactive, too small and the brakes will be too fierce if that makes any sense. That's what I got from the info I had.
