All,
Just wanted to pass along some information with new paint on body edges and parts that lay against the new paint. My paint and body man state this practice is used a lot in the industry. Now, you may already know this practice.
So, I purchased the 3M 08582 36" Door Edge Protection Film and wrapped the film around the edge, fold it over to seal the edge. The purpose is to prevent the tail light pod gasket from rubbing the paint off thus causing rust to form. I also will apply the protection film on the inside of rear tail light bezel to prevent the paint to paint rubbing.
