Well we made it back from our first National show with the car. It performed flawlessly on the trip up there and back. Now Friday the 13th is another story. After eating dinner late Thursday night started feeling bad, by Friday morning(3am or so) was full on SICK. Got up in time to get the car in place by 8 a.m. headed back to the hotel on foot around a mile or better, Do you realize how far that is when you are about to puke or worse, spent the day in bed or in the bathroom:blush:, busted my forehead on the bathroom door, have a nice1/2-3/4 inch gash right between my eyes
got back up at 6 to go get the car, decided to make a full length trip from one end of town back to the hotel. Bad choice 3 lanes of stopped traffic for 2.5/3 miles. Electric fan did not come on temp went to 250 by the time I rolled in. Check at the thermostat for the fan no power, dropped fuse panel down, magnetic panel are great, all fuses good, check plugs on the panel and rechecked for power. Now we had power and the fan worked as advertised. Loose connection we assume. Car was great rest of weekend. Returned to room for another long night of praying to the porcelain goddess The show actually went about like expected no award but a ton of positive comments. But that's not what this car was built for so not disappointed at all, especially when my buddy and I fired them up and rolled out the gate each night to enjoy them. There was a lot of trailer queens in the house being a National type event. I think they said the farthest was from New Jersey. Will post more pics when they decide to show up from cyber space, They seem to be lost right now. Only 4 or 5 71/73 to be seen all weekend and 2 was with me. O'well here are the ones I have so far.......
