1973 sportsroof mustang
Hi Guy's

Take a look at your cars from the front on and tell me if there is a difference in the corners as to how high the roof is? see some pics i got online of this , the passenger side roof side seems higher than the driver side, I cut a roof off of a 73 skin only and replaced mine, now looking at it I think my passenger side is higher as well, am i just seeing things?img_17092.jpg1973-Ford-Mustang-Mach-1-Hood.jpg

Well, in the top picture the camera is off-center toward the passenger side. With digital cameras, that can certainly cause a perspective shift, and make the passenger side of the roof seem higher (old school film cameras didn't suffer from it NEARLY as bad). The fender definitely looks taller than the hood, which might help the optical illusion. (The passenger headlight's pointing skyward as well).

The bottom pic is pretty much straight-on from the center and looks normal (to me, anyway).

Hmm,

from your pictures I tell you that it is the point of view or angle you take that picture which causes that effect. For differences in that dimensions you would have problems all over the car affected by this, for example by installing the windows, trim, fitting the doors and so on...

I never have heard from such problems before.

Thanks for the input, I took a roof off of another car and welded it onto mine so I'm worried that things are not even side to side. I have a contour gauge but its only a foot long. If i had a 4 foot one I could compare both sides and make template to check it,20151127_204555.jpg20150613_210624.jpg
