1973 Mustang Sportsroof. Currently a work in progress!!!
As I begin the repair of rust out floor panels, I'm having a tough time find replacement panels for the under the rear seat.

Do I need just get some steel and make a patch?

Thanks

Tim

You either need to make it out of sheet metal

Or use the earlier model pans and then make them fit

How about all 3? Side windows had no seal for some time I image. You can see where the ash tray on the rear arm rest was been full of water. The previous owner replaced the seal for the rear window. The rust limited to the rear floor panels and under the right rear seat. No where else.

The '73 sat for a long time most of it here in AZ, although the DSO was Omaha, Ne, ordered from a dealership in South Dakota.

I'll post of a few picks. I've already cut out the rust in the right rear foot-well and shaped Dynacorn replacement panel. I'll post of a pic later on.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!!!

you probably have a leak at either the rear window or the side quarter windows, make sure you locate and repair it too.

Which earlier model pan would work best, in your opinion?

This is the Rtr floor under the rear seat:

I've already cut and formed up the panel for the right side foot-well floor panel.
