SEAT UPHOLSTERY

WELL I HAVE ALL MY SEAT UPHOLSTERY REMOVED JUST WAITING ON MY NEW UPHOLSTERY FROM LARRYS THUNDERBIRD AND MUSTANG PARTS. HAS ANY ONE DELT WITH THIS COMPANY BEFORE BECAUSE I ORDERED THESE TWO WEEKS AGO AND THEY STILL HAVE NOT GOT THEM IN STOCK THEY ARE ON BACK ORDER. I HAVE CLEANED UP MY SEAT FRAMES AND REPAINTED THEM. THE CUSHIONS ARE STILL GOOD. I HOPEFULLY WILL BE PUTTING ON MY UPHOLSTERY NEXT WEEK I JUST WANT TO GET THIS THING ON THE ROAD BY MAY THATS WHEN ALL THE CRUISE NIGHTS START.

When you say the cushions a still good, are they the original ones?

You may want to replace those at the same time.

I haven't ordered from Don but I asked him about seats, fabrics, options. He was very responsive and offered up some great suggestions. If I do order new seats it will be from Don. The only thing holding me back is I have some seats that have the actual comfortweave (not original seats but it is the original style comfortweave). The comfortweave is no longer available. So I am going to take mine to a local place and see if they can fix my seats. I have a tear in one and they are dirty and could use dye job but overall they are in okay shape.

So that's what new foam looks like. Wow! All my seat bottoms are pancake flat. It looks like you gave your seats a boob job & they look totally awesome now.

Thank You. The new foam makes installation exponentially more

difficult, but you really need to do that. It is thicker and denser than

than the original foam. I was warned by a guy who does Concours

grade restoration work on the Boss 302's. He said to keep a bottle

of whiskey nearby "cause your going to need it". Got that right.

That was around the time Knob Creek became the house whiskey.
