can someone please explain the differences between the original equipment 4 speed hurst shifters between 1970 1971 1972 1973.

I am aware the 1970 shifter:

came with a box number 3138 , with lever/ arms on box of 7268,7265,7267

flat chrome stick with 7275 stamped at bottom

rods D0ZA-7B112-C , D0ZA-7328-C , D0ZA-7326-E

arms OZR-02B, OZR-03C, OZR-197A

aluminum T handle open '4" with set screw

The 1971 

shifter box number ?

lever / arms numbers on shifter box?

flat chrome stick with 7831 stamped at bottom

rod numbers?

arm numbers?

aluminum T handle open "4" with set screw?

The 1972

shifter box number

lever / arms numbers on shifter box?

Round Stick  number?

Rod numbers?

Arm numbers?

black round ball?

would 1973 be the same for 1972?

Any information to help me fill in the blanks would be great, thanks!

Hi

Going to try and answers this BUT WITH 1971 info ONLY (could give a rats azz about 1970 Boss's) All of this info is from Internet search/MY stuff (photos after)

The T Handle doesn't NOT have a "set screw" in 1971.

Looking for a logical way to list arms and levers I PUT THEM TOGETHER

1/2 Rod D1ZA-7328-AB Lever 0ZR02B

3/4 Rod D1ZA-7326-AC Lever 0ZR03C

Rev Rod D0ZA-7B112-AA Lever 0ZR197-A

Lock OUT Rod D1ZA-7E330-DA

The Box has to be a FORD box (with the provision for the reverse switch) 0320215F - usually a Blue daub

And the flat 3138 is the 1971 BIG thing is also the nut under the shifter
