Taking my fine classic M16 semi auto out today...Has original Vietnam M16a1 top and original Vietnam furniture...With a civilian bottom made by olympic arms here in washington state...I like the old triangle grips and stuff..Such a sleek old machine...I had a few people try and trade me there deck out rail models for it...No thanks..like my rilfe.....It is quite the nail driver at 75+ yards with open peep....Thinkin about getting a small scope for the range thou...Has the mounting hole on the handle.

Sorry for the poor pics..Just snapping a pic of it from my desk top camera before i leave...lol

Picked up some ammo recently and I am planning a trip to the range. I want to shoot my 44-77 Sharps, but I need a lot more space to play as it is just getting challenging to hit an 18 inch plate at 600 yards. Inside that it's duck soup

Maybe I'll go to the indoor range and shoot my Colt Walkers that should clear the place out

Shot around 120 rounds through my little bersa UC pro last night. had a ball. zero misfires BTW
How you liking that Bersa? Mine is the firestorm mini-I believe the same gun,I love it.Was going to go out back & do some plinking today, mid 40's up in Maine today, but the heavy mist kept me inside.

They are good guns..I never seen one with any issues "yet" lol

Ohh ya..hard to find brass or rounds for that 44-77? We had the 45-70 version..And i seen the 45-120 i think? cant rememeber..It was a long range machine thou..lol

My only long rangers right now..30-06 garand...And a old 58 cal springfield rifled musket...You know we had a colt walker "repo" But the packing lever kept falling every time you shot it "found out sometimes a big issues with walkers and alot of guys back in the day tied there packing lever down..lol...So i got the dragoon..Which is pretty close..and has less of a issue with the packing lever..But i do love the walker..It is a beast....Got a old remintgon 45 black thou i shoot all the time...Made a little video of me reloading it..lol

btw...They let ya shoot that thing indoors there? They told me no go for mine...lol..Maybe yours has better vents!!..lol

Got to love the sound track..hehe

Shot a nice group but low right after researching a bit found I was looking at the sites wrong(combat sights) which would explain the low but not the right. But first time out with it so it will only get better.

are you right handed or left handed?

This chart might help..

I can shoot them indoors as I have conversion cylinders to shoot modern .45 Colt ammo through them. Of course that can be foll loads of BP too, but they get upset as it chases away the normal people.

Look at the 1st gen SAA from 1907 , a 7 1/2 38-40 Model P 12 1/2 total length and about 2 1/4 pounds

The old Walker above it measures 16" from butt to muzzle and weighs 4 pounds! Until the advent of the .44 Magnum, it was one of the most powerful handguns ever.

Too bad the pictures, was trying to check out the flash suppressor to see if it was correct. The triangle furniture was always a good comfortable feel, but that being said I have to say i like my HBAR's stock round forestock. Most people opt qout quad rails that they'll never use!

I have a bushmaster CAR-15 clone but I have since put Magul MOE foregrips and trigger guard on it!

Here it is with a carry handle mounted red dot optic:

...and current configuration!

The first select fire rifle that Stonerproduced was the AR15. Then Colt bought the patent and and started producing the m16 (select fire), and the AR15 (semi auto).

But you are mostly correct. M16 is generally select fire, and subject to National Firearms Act of '34 regulations, as further modified by the Gun Control Act of '68 and the Firearm Owners Protection Act of '86

But it is not uncommon to find Vietnam era semi auto A1's that are referred to as M16

How much did the scope run you? I havent looked yet...Some of my freinds turned me onto some real spendy ones..I dont need something too fancy..But i want it too work..lol

and i do like the bottom grip on that bushmaster of yours..very nice rifle.

I thought M16's are all select fire

Is this correct?
Yup...Mine has been demiled pretty much too a point...It was old goverment stock...They used the m16a1 around the world for nato forces...So its tooled to shoot nato version of the 223 without harm..They just put Oly arms triggers and bottom end..Gets rid of any select fire options...But only legal way a company can make money off old m16a1 war stock...lol....Mine does not have the bullet deflector either..Just like vietnam version...Can be trouble sum for lefties with the ejecting shells.

No it does not have the tear drop anymore:( They put on there own...I checked out the barrel ..still original colt atleast...everything else is correct..But i wanna get the tear drop style flash supressor to have put back on it...I will get some detailed shots of it...Does not seem they buggered up the barrel or shaved it down or anything to put on there basic jake flash supressor.

And yes...Some folks i seen get a bunch of rails they cant use and never will..lol...I do like how the triangle grip feels i have to say...And dont mind the regular...I do have to say..I enjoy how its atleast 2 - 4 pounds lighter than my freinds railed out machines..lol

Actually, I bought that scope at Wal-Mart for $60...it is a Center Point red/green dot 1x magnification. It is really nice and very accurate despite the low cost! I liked it so much, I bought a high power Center Point scope with illuminated reticle for my 22-250 varmint rifle!

I went to several of our local gun stores today to check on 5.56/.223 ammo and couldn't find one round, shelves are barren. I did manage to find some .380 for my Kel-Tec and bought two boxes of the three they had in stock just because it was there! I saw a guy buy an AK-47 for $800, it would have been $450.00 before all of this crazy set in, AR-15's are non existent on the shelves they actually make them at one of the places but as soon as they set them out they are gone. I have to wonder how long this will last.

I know a guy that bought 100 30 round AR-15 mags for $5.00 ea and is now selling them like hot cakes at 4 for a $100.00 on EBay, I wish I'd have done that!

unfortunately the best I've got in my gun collection (that is not airsoft) is an old marlin .22 rifle that a friend of my dad's gave me when I was like 13

while I'm more into handguns than assault rifles (so I'll admit the ban on them wouldn't bother me that much) I would love to get my hands on an original WW2 Colt 45 1911A1

45 colt is a classic...I owned a few..And would again in a heart beat.....aww the old 22 marlin...Is it a bolt action? Or the tube fed semi? I tell you what...I grew up using a old tube fed marlin..And my freinds had the ruger 10/22...I would get way less jams with the old marlin than they would..lol..Them marlin's at only 139.00 on the shelf..are hard to beat.

Sorry to say I dont have one either but for them to ban them is STUPID, and is just something else are government is controlling. Guns of any type has not caused these deaths, its the IDIOTS behind them. I will stop now on this just had to say that.
