Sorry, I didn't mean you, but in general a lot of people won't make the effort.. even for small items.. Apologies, and I won't butt in to your conversation again..
None of the seats I have would be 'install ready'- at the very least they would need upholstery in your color, and style..
No worries I was just messing with you. I know what you mean about people not wanting to put effort into shipping.

You can take the seats apart and make them flat and ship that way. A lot less than $200. Not cheap, will probably still run about $75 to ship, that is how I ship seats.

I sell and ship stuff on Ebay, for myself and work. Work is mainly tail lights, ect (I work at a salvage yard). The price of shipping has gotten insane! Anything over 12x12x12, no matter the weight, is so expensive now. Especially for me in Michigan, going to the west coast or down to Florida. It has really hurt sales. A tail selling for $15, but add $20 to ship to California, makes no sense if the customer can buy it locally for like even $30-40 and not have to wait. (Plus the Ebay fees, which are a percentage based on the selling price AND shipping cost)

Even small stuff, the cheapest package of any kind other than envelopes, are $4.50 and up. I wish I could get the discounts big shippers like Summitt, ect must get, for them to be able to offer free shipping on stuff like wheels, and other bulky items!

This is a TMI Sport R seat upholstry and cushions. They are really comfortable . The only thing I wish was if the headrest was a little more forward. If someone had a trick to fix rhat than I would love them.
Jeff

Nice to know there is a salvage yard connection on here. We don't have any place to go stroll around down here in Orlando worth taking a drive. And yeah, the shipping rates are pretty awful. I ship a lot of materials for the trade shows that my company attends and even boxes of collateral and supplies...not even talking about the large booth stuff...is outrageous. And sometimes even the large companies can't swing prices either. Since shopping for parts on this site ( I think I even posted here about it) the shipping rates are sometimes more than double the price of the item. I recall looking for a new dash pad. Sure I found a number of them for about $159-179...but when I went to ship it, the cost of shipping it was $150. So hence me driving more often to NPD and buying stuff all together on occasional trips. Unfortunately there are a lot of folks who don't have that luxury of living near a parts store.

I can say that the saving grace in all of this has been the folks on this forum who either sell parts privately or have their own eBay stores. Most of the time if they know you from the forum, they will work the best possible deal on shipping stuff to you. I know recently in working with @Motorcity Mustang that the folks here do their best to combine items, do some research on best way to package and get the costs down. I'm grateful for that, as a lot of the stuff I have bought for this coupe have come from people on here.
