Among the first things you do when you get your new project home is clean out all the refuse, trash and "leftovers", right?  With a convertible, there are even more places to find stuff.

Here's what I found down the driver's side convertible well.  Have to wonder how long that iPhone was there.  But the upside is getting this garbage out resolved that "clunk" when operating that window.  That's a good thing.

P.S. I followed up on the iPhone; after finding a very old-style cord and charging it for a few hours, it started in Reset mode and I could get to the step where it asks to log in to Apple with your iCloud e-mail account (then I shut it down).  I sent an email, but heck, how long ago and being the rear seat it was probably a passenger and they might have even thought they dropped it over the side (because it wasn't that hard to see -- if you looked).

This is such a cool idea for a thread  :goodpost: post some amazing old stuff that hasnt been sold in decades found, also, at the back of your garage.., awesome... I'm off to go looking ...

c'mon guys you must have some old stuff from 1776 in the back of your garage (note: date specially chosen)  :whistling:

A bunch of years ago I went with a friend to pick up a Fox body 5.0 he brought for a daily driver. After picking it up and a stop at the gas station I noticed something under the passenger side floormat. Turned out to be a pair of women's undergarments. Oddly enough, they appeared to be several sizes larger than one would assume to be correct for the sellers wife....

Hey National Geographic could do a show here, lol. Over 70 years of not throwing anything away because you might need it tends to grow.

So I can name a few and will add a few pictures of some.

I know there are several overdrive transmissions in the barn and at least 5 or 6 flathead V-8 engines. PI 429, SD 429, Y-block V-8, cases of NOS gaskets from 20's on up. 1964 Ford rear bumpers plated and in rapper. 1957 T-bird front bumper plated and in box. 3 Towne Top removable hard tops. Boxes of NOS Mustang parts. All the original Ford parts to build a HiPo 289 just no heads. Aluminum flathead intakes. Lincoln V-12 head NOS. Wooden air plane propeller from the 1940's 90+" long. That is a NOS 1959 Ford rocker box beside the propeller. Model T wheels, 1936 Ford wide bolt pattern wheels similar to the old VW. Set of steel pointed Yard Darts that stick in your head and kill you, lol. Cases of NOS Ford manuals, owners, showroom and repair. NOS panels for 1950 Ford, hoods, trunks, inner fender, gravel, etc..

I could go on for ever, lol. When I am gone they will call a scrap guy and just trash it all.

Here are some pics of a few things I have sold on ebay. It just takes so much time to pack up the stuff for ebay and get it all ready.

Bunch of stuff for upcoming yard sale. Dozens of Griswold and Wagner cast iron and cast magnesium stuff. Case of R-12 if you need any, lol. Sell it for $40.00 a can and cost $1.00 wish I had bought more.

I use to go to car swap meet and take van and trailer load and come back with more than I left with and pocket full of money. Now you go and you can't sell anything.
