value on 427 single overhead cam

So what would be a good buy on an engine like this? Never bought or even thought about buying a 427 before. I know the Boss engine r going for but have not idea about 427

Can you get the casting number from the block? Is it a side oiler, medium riser, high riser? There is a 427 stroked to 452 on ebay for $8500 buy it now.
