I'm looking for a pair of the Boss351 aluminium valve covers if anyone has some they would like to sell?

Yes that would be the sensible move!, although the new ones are a little too shiny for my liking , I was thinking perhaps I could get them media blasted to a finish a little more like the original sandcast look?

Sure - Just be careful to not blast aggressively. I'd probably experiment and media blast a test area of the underside first to get the look you desire. I have to admit I like the Ford Racing ones too (with less shine).
