David - I agree. If you are going to make a battery powered ANYTHING - the battery needs to be mounted in a hidden location where it can be VERY easily changed.

Not only the battery, but you have to take it out to adjust the time. I also don't think it is lighted. Just $50 more for the lighted version. You get the case and a $9 clock movement.

The battery replacement issue is easy to solve, just replace the battery with a regulator chip, less than $5, connect it to 12 volts.

Rocketman's is a much better deal.
