Ray, I think there will be a few things I may omit on my build, maybe not entirely, just for now just so I can actually finish the car before I'm 50 in two years. They can always get addressed after if I really want them done. There is just so much work that needs to get done and the broad strokes need to happen faster. A roof chop is one of those things that can't wait till a later time of course but if you do it, wow. The only thing that would hold me back is further time delay but for sheer impact it would be worth it I think.
Ya I remember when I was 50, I had about 12 cars I was planning on building, lol. Decided at that time to get into other things and bought a motorcycle, etc, etc, Now I'll be 64 next Saturday. All I have left to build is the 71 mustang, a 55 Chevy rag, a 50 ford pick up and my moms , now mine, 89 fox rag , but it has 70k miles and mostly needs cosmetics. I'm almost done haha. Still have the bike too. And 4 finished projects stacked in my garage that I kept. It's been a lot of great fun. Never stop . Live each day like it was your last while planning to live forever just in case.

Happy Birthday day Ray. I was once told by someone that from birth till 39 you are still maturing. From 40-80 your someone worth listening too based on accumulated wisdom and when you've passed 80 years of age, only then are you allowed to complain about feeling old. So I'm told to remember that if I feel the urge to make old man sounds lol.

QA-1 set up. Single adjustable shock. With an adaptor kit to work on the 71. $675 US. Like the adjustability rather than just a drop. I got a contact number for the person who makes up the "kit" when I was at the MOTORAMA SHOW last weekend.
Sounds cool my friend.. So you are just changing to some other shocks that mounts in the position as the stock ones? QA1 and Viking are very equal to eachother. A designer or what ever he is went from QA1 to Viking shocks, so the design are allmost the same.. I think it's some great shocks. I can't wait to get mine done so I can try all the goodies on the road :)

This will be an adjustable coil over so I can control the height of the coil spring to get the perfect stance. The adjustment on the shock is to tune the rebound. It will replace the standard non adjustable spring and shock. Very simple to install and worth the money. Should fit very nicely with my dropped tubular a-arm.

image.jpegsitting on these. Should get a very nice ride. Just need to beef up the front sway bar and add a seat bar at the rear axle.

Thanks man, you won't hear me complaining I'm totally great ful for my life. I'll keep going like all the greats, I admire for their endless stamina. Looking at you suspension plans , I thought I'd throw in that I managed 7" of travel without obstruction with my air bag set up.

Ray that would be skill and knowledge I do not possess. Way cool that you can get that to happen. If you lived nearby I'd have my car resting on one of your suspension designs.

image.jpeg Used 70 wing pedestals to prop up the rear wing. 4.5" in height verses (71-73) 3". Makes it the easiest fix. One easy for every 5 difficult. Lol.

Looks nice buddy!!
Thanks Daniel, Lars and Mike. I really like the fact that they don't look any different than stock except for height. Doesn't look too modern and out of place to the eye. These ones are just for test fitting. I ordered a new kit from California Mustangs for only $56 US. Cast aluminum with all the bracket/ gasket/ studs and stuff. Shipped free to the boarder in Niagra. I order up what I need and have it all shipped to CBI storage and make a 2 hour trip to the boarder and pick up all my goodies. I don't even make it home. It's straight to the car at my shop and open all my presents lol. Almost 50 and still a kid.

Just opened my mustang monthly to find this congrats mate, the recognition you deserve

Wow thanks guys. Is that April edition? I didn't think it was going to be in print. I thought it was only going to be online at M360. I need to buy the Mag.

Congratulations Angelo , what a wonderful opportunity. You should be proud, you deserve the recognition. I haven't been getting that mag for years lately since I had gotten away from stangs, but I'll have to get a copy of that one for sure.

Thanks buddy. Looks like these cars do exactly what I think they are meant to do. People being people and object bringing them together. I've been teaching my kids that people you love and objects you like- not love. I really like where the car is headed but it wouldn't bring me more than ten seconds of happiness if I were on this planet alone. The real joy is in the interaction. The people on this forum are the best people a person could Never meet lol. Sorry For sounding sappy and no l haven't been drinking heehee. ?
