Sounds nice, I hope it will work with the glue, that is gonna look badass! :)
The rubber itself is coloured right through so it won't fade or come off like paint does and if the tire is prepared like recommended you can't get the letters off if you wanted to. They are used on transport trucks that are always on the road and see all weather. These cars hardly see rain.

Amazing that it is possible to make such a strong material! Can't wait to see those on.. Where did you get them? :)

Is it 12" wide rear wheels you have ? If so, have you tried to see if there was enought room for them in the original wheel bases? I can't really decide how wide I want to go.. The difference in price is huge from 10" to 12" wide, but damn it looks bad ass with some wide rims in the back! :)

The company is called "Tredwear" You can find them on line. Talk to Michael Hunt. Nice guy. Helpful. He is at SEMA in Vagas right now but if your interested in something for your ride you can get his email off there site. As for my rims, they are 20x12 but with a back space of 5" the outer hoop becomes 7" wide. Thats the look i was after. That makes my 315's close to 14" wide. Im sure if you found the correct offset for the rim, 10" with a with a 295 could work. Last year i had 28" tall 275 BFG on my 8" Magnum 500. Because of the nature of the BFG the bulge of the sidewall was large and it amounted to an 11.5" footprint and they fit in there just perfect-even with a three inch drop in the rear.

Thanks for the information, I just found them, the prices for the stickers are really affordable!

I'm a big fan of wide outer hoops too, love the look, it looks aggressive. I could go with a 10" wide wheel and 295 tires, but I think the widest tire will be a 285 to put on a 10" wide wheel so the sidewalls are supported correctly. But the look of a 12" wide is just awesome, but the extra cost is not. So I have to think about which way is the right to go. Maybe the rear fender flares needs to be widened a little bit if I want the 12" wide wheel in rear, but that are not the biggest problem at all.. :)

The only thing I would really recommend is that you find a tall enough tire to fill up that rear quarter. That is where I had a hard time matching up tire hights with tire widths and brands that weren't a fortune. What I mean is you might find tall but not wide or maybe you finally find it but cost way too much. I really wanted 335 for the back but no one made 29" tall. Best I could do was 315 to get 29" tall but it had to be on a 20" rim and not on an 18". These Nittos were the best priced for the dimensions I needed with the aggressive look and performance especially in the rain.

image.jpgSince I love the world of race cars it is where I find my inspiration. In this case F1 Perelli slicks.

I am going with 19" wheels both front and rear, so for rear I want a 30 sidewall and for front, a 35 sidewall, it looks like I have some really good options for tires in 19". I will lower the car all that I can, so I don't think it's gonna be any problem with not filling the rear quarters out.

It is not easy to find the right tire combinations, damn it takes a lot of time.. Like you, I have also spend a lot of time to find the right tires and are still not sure what I should get! The tires is also really expensive when you get over 300 wide.. :)

A 315 is also some serious wide rubber, I'm sure it is going to look so cool! :)

What style of rim? U have a picture?

Of course :) Here are a picture of the wheel.. It's from Bonspeed and called Delta. I actually think I want to go with that color combo, because as it is right now I want to paint the car in a medium dark silver metallic (have'nt deciced the exact color yet). I think that is going to look bad ass with black wheels and a light body color.. :)

What do you think about that?

Damn!!!! Those are nice. Im a fan of coloured wheels. I was thinking of going a step further on mine and blacken the hoop. So your thinking 10s in back and 8s up front all in 19" Tires are difficult because manufacturers only make sizes that are found on production cars. Take my situation for instance. I had to look into sport SUV trucks like X5 or Porsche Cayenne so that 29s in the back could be matched to 27" tall in front on 18" rims and all 4 tires for $1200

Yes they are so nice, I fell in love with them the first time I saw them, coloured wheels are so cool. I'm sure that it would look nice with blackened hoops, but they are also nice with black centers and polished hoops as they are now..

Yes I want to go with 19's.. I was thinking about 18's to, but as I am a fan of big wheels, I think this is the right way to go for me. I know it gets more difficult to find tires in this size of wheel, but I found a company in Deutschland where I can get the tires for a affordable price. But I was also expecting to use that kind of money on tires. The tires I have my eye on is the Goodyear F1 eagle asymmetric, sounds to be a nice tire for the money. First I was thinking of Michelin Pilot Super Sports, but the price is just insane and I don't want to use so much money on a rear tire.. :D

That image is more about the red in the tire than the paint colour for the car. I like black but it would hide too much of the body mods. The colour would be more like this gunmetal.

Very close to what I'm looking for. Want to give the car a "Hot Wheels" red line tire feel. Old school with a twist, like the rest of the build.
That's werry cool whit that wow your skills are amazing:D:cool:

I'm looking at going with Dakota digital's instrument cluster. Does anyone have any experience with this product? Good ? Not good? It's listed at about $800 to my door which I think is worth it but don't want to drop for it and find out it wasn't worth it.

image.jpgThis is the one I was looking at. It shows daytime and then lit up at night. Looks great to me.

It's a damn nice looking speedometer, the design is awesome! It's so funny, our ideas are all most the same, I want the exact same speedometer for my Mustang.. :D

I don't have any experience with it, but it sounds to be a good speedometer from members on pro-touring.com. Try to contact the owner on this site www.paradise-road.com, there are sometimes where he can get them a little bit cheaper than they are listed for. :)

A couple of guys on the forums have these and they love 'em. I think you'll be happy, too.

I also like the look of the carbon fiber background... just not as much a fan of the gauge layout itself - I prefer the stock look with the bigger numbers, less-busy gauges, and fuel gauge in the middle - since I already have the console clock and 3 gauges in the center dash console. There's also just something cool about having the pony light up with the high-beams. ;) :D

I agree that the layout will take getting used to. Two clocks are a little redundant with one in the center and one digital but at least it will have a more reliable tack than the bouncing stock one. The needle is all over the place and I figured if I'm going to have to recalibrate the old one I might as well get this. Plug and play set up comes with everything and more accurate than stock.

Totally agree with you Eric, and think they got that aspect of it wrong, or at least offer a layout which takes in and accommodates for people who have an original working clock in the floor console and the three center dash gauges, or do they do this layout?

Greg.:)

image.jpgI made this one myself for the 68 but in the end all 5 Autometer gauges cost more to buy individually not to mention the time it took to enlarge the holes to accept each one. The Dakota one is a no brainer by comparison. I hope they're in stock is all.
