have you done a 351 to 429 swap? Quick question on frame mounts

Hello all,

I have a '73 351 car that I am going to put a 429 in. I have some 351 mounts and was told my more than one person that those 351 frame mounts would work with a 429 (motor mounts will be different of course). I find this hard to believe, but the cost of the big block frame mounts is about ridiculous online.

Anyone have any experience with this?

I tried using the 351C frame stands and while they were close and looked like they might have worked with some modification I ended up buying the correct 429 frame stands.

I just got my 429 put in and I just played it safe and bought the entire mount system from Crites. Went in easier than it was to pull the 351 out lol.
