i installed led dash lights 6 months ago haven't  used the car a lot  at night . so now i  some of the lights have started to flicker or wave . any else have this happen i have had other green in ihe cluster and no problem . just bad led or ?

any ideas ?

I installed a bunch of LEDs in my daily driver vehicles. I've had a couple that have been flickering and simply replaced them. I chalk it up to them being 10 for $6 units I bought off

Amazon.

Yep, all LED's pulse as they burn to keep them cool.  Part of a circuit design.  When I worked in automotive lighting here we used high quality components on our Printed Wiring Boards to control the circuit pulse.   I bet they aren't that cautious for 6 bucks a set.

This is why SMDs (not landscaping LEDS) designed by a car guy FOR CARS cost more! When I see all the "I bought mine at Amazon" and Walmart - I WANT to talk about quality and value.....................but don't because MOST don't respect a hobbyist running a company, investing to have THE BEST products made and refusing to compromise. They want cheap.

P.S. I said to Bill why don't you sell a CHEAP LED? He said "Those single diode bulbs from 15 years ago? Oh HELL NO !!"
