https://www.ebay.com/itm/2345017486...AAOSwvRpiROeb&LH_ItemCondition=3000|1000|2500I saw this car a couple of days ago, and I was amazed that it had all the options that it did. It seems to have had almost every option on the book. It has:
tilt wheel. intermittent wipers. rear defroster. power windows, power steering, power brakes, factory air, front and rear spoilers, seems to have been a ram air car (hood has OEM hood locks), sports deck rear seat, has to have either the AM/FM or 8 track AM radio as it has the OEM door speakers, deluxe interior, and who knows what else... We cannot see the wheels or the steering wheel on the photos, but I would not doubt that this car had a rimblow steering wheel and Magnum 500's too.

Two tone hood option is why I believe you see the twist locks. Comes with extra doors so what does that mean of condition of the original ones. Surely missing much description and pictures. Rusted trunk might mean the lid? Surely more interesting than an average Boss 351 and many 429's.

Very interesting as a nice parts car...

I've driven past that car at that shop many times over the years. I don't know if it is always outside or not.
Have no clue on the story behind it.

I think whoever gets that car is asking for trouble. :p

That's a lot of options. And the car is not in good shape. My guess is most or all of the extra add-ons will be in a poor state and need replaced. The new owner will spend the next few decades trying to track down all sorts of rare parts to restore that car with everything it says on the marti report. I may not be a smart man, but I know a money pit when I see one.

Ram Air is why it has the hood locks and paint. The TuTone hood was a 73 only option.

Option load on that car is impressive. Rough an rusty, looks like the cars we used to buy 25 years ago here in CT.

At some point the rear spoiler was removed from the car, so it was left with 4 open holes on the trunk, I would bet that is where all that water came in to rust out the trunk. Car has rust, but I have seen far worse be brought back to life.

So much to learn about these cars. So I'm now presuming in order to have a factory tu tone hood it has to have a factory ram air in 71-72 and in 73 maybe because you couldn't get ram air in a 4BBL it was a separate option. I have both a 73 and 71 with factory tu tone hoods. Surely would be a shame to part out this car as what the Marti report will say is part of the value and most likely better than the car you want the parts for, not to mention the parts will also need refurbishing. Definitely a passion project, not a numbers project, but will have great value if done properly. You can add options on a car, but will never be factory like this one. I will always prefer a rare high optioned sitting project over a run of the mill Mach in better condition. Seller says trunk floor is good. I find cars usually have more rust then sellers mention or know about. Ebay picture of frame rail looks like the floors above it need to be replaced to be right, not to mention many other areas that will definitely need rust repair.

I've seen many 71 M codes with factory Ram air including some on convertibles. Great verification info since Marti reports came available which My Mach 1's Marti says 4,632 with ram air for 71 Mach 1's. Is that considered few compared to total production? I guess Mine is an early one ordered Oct. 28 1970. Were all the others ram airs early including 429's, but not Bosses? So how did a 72 Mach 1 Q code get a factory tu tone hood? Can tu tone be factory with out the twist locks?
