I will post more pics after I get the car but I am picking up a special paint (I do not believe it was black but, departing from my usual stance plan to keep it black), well optioned 1970 Torino 429 CJ 4 dr sedan that is pretty solid and only 61k miles. Should have it safely in my garage on Saturday. Kinda stoked, never thought I would have an original 429CJ/SCJ car. It has some issues but there were only 6 of these engine/trans cars made in the 4 dr sedan. I have no idea how many were made in the other 4 dr body styles.

I saw the listing for that car, it's very cool. Do you know who/what originally bought it on a Fleet order?
It was bought by the owner of a construction company as a company car to shuttle customers around (current owner worked for the guy and drove customers to and from the airport). It is somewhat sentimental to the current owner (soon to be former). He was keen to know the car was not going to be parted out. NFW would I do that and both my daughters think it is cool so I guess they will get to fight over it.

That is neat!

Needs to go back to steel wheels and hubcaps...
I am partial to the Magnums but they have Chevy SS centers. I already bought repop Torino centers. I would consider steel but I need to finish up some other things before I sink a bunch of money into the Torino.

Got the car this morning. First thing on the list is sorting the brakes.....they seem a bit weak and somewhat spongy. I also need to do a thorough functional check.

That doesn't look like the new garage we talked about...

Tell me about it. It is very cramped right now. I can't even get to the passenger side of the torino with the garage door closed. I have a power washer and some other items stacked up behind the car! I already put 4 fenders and a cupla other items in the basement

You might have to start collecting RC cars 😂

If you need advice on pack ratting.....

Carb needs rebuild and apparently the parking brake is stuck per the inspector. It still passed the safety inspection today so it now has plates. Brakes are acting more like manual brakes but it they are power. Power seat only seems to work going forward. Nonstandard power seat button arrangement. Front blower motor seems to not be working, rear defrost blower is TBD. Passenger front power window motor not working. No where near the power it should have. So I do have some gremlins to work out. Seller found the original AM/FM radio and some other parts. I am getting those this wkend. Speedo stopped working (surprised it passed inspection with this, I figure old car pity from the inspector). Need to get engine sorted in my convertible and the suspension gone thru on another car then I can start sorting this one.
