I always liked the look of the 72 Sprint cars. When they came out I had already purchased a 72 Q code Gran Torino Sport so my wallet said "forget it"! Like Ray said, don't know how accurate the article is but I always enjoy reading all that I can find on them. I had stated in an earlier post that when I was stationed in GA that there were three sprint cars at the shop where I worked. An "A" package coupe, "B" package fastback, and a Maverick. Knew the Pinto was offered but never saw one. Never thought much about it at the time, but for three Sprint cars to be driven by people at the same shop was pretty wild. Glad to see that there is a registry and that these cars have a following that is trying to save as many as possible from the crusher.
