I bought the metal line from NPD, and ready to put it in. The original is long gone. Any hints before I dive in?
does it go on the passenger side?
can it be replaced as one metal piece from the rubber hoses at each end?
anyone done it?

Thanks

I was researching trans coolers for my RV that to tows my race trailer. While doing so, I found out the primary function of the trans lines running to the radiator isn't primarily for cooling. It's to insure the trans gets up to operating temperature using the heat from the radiator. After it does that it helps keep trans temps below unfavorable levels. That's why a lot of installations still keep the radiator in the trans line loop. In my case I never tow anytime in the cold. Given the weight I tow it doesn't take very long to get the trans warmed up on its own. So in my case I ran the trans lines only to the new additional cooler I installed and I plugged rad inlets.

Attached are some files showing diagrams of how the fuel vapor line is installed with the Fuel Evaporative control system for 71-73 Mustangs (and many other vehicles also. I also attached some annotated photos of the fuel vapor line showing how it is attached and routed on our 73 Mustang Convertible. I also provided some links to YouTube that shows some of the details of that system:
