1989 Full size Bronco

Hey guys, My brother is parting out his 89 ford bronco. If anyone needs anything off of it let me know. He bought it to run in a derby this summer, but they changed the rules and he cant run it now, so hes trying to sell some parts off it before we scrap it. I has a good running 351 windsor in it with auto o/d tranny. Danna 44 up front 8.8 out back. I believe its the eddie bauer interior with captains chairs up front and big center console. It all has about 130,000 miles on it. let me know if there anything you guys might need.

Don the body isnt too bad on it. The bronco belonged to my buddy and he had it painted about 8 years ago. Then drove it for 3 or 4 years and then the rear leaf spring hangers broke. While he was under there he noticed the frame had several large holes in it and decided to park it and fix it later. Well 2 kids and 4 or 5 years later it still sat behind the garage. The underside is pretty rotted. My brother bought it off him for a demo derby, but the rules changed to no 4x4 this year so hes gonna part it out a scrap it. Hopefully some people can use the parts, theres alot of good stuff i would hate to see go to the junk yard.

If you were closer I'd take the Aod & see if I could make it fit in one of the Machs.

To do that you have to get a mainshaft out of a 2wd aod and tailhousing. The shafts are different lengths between 2wd and 4wd. Or you could get the front axle too and make a 4x4 mach

hmmm...does it have a Duraspark II ignition system?

not sure i would have to look. you want the box or the dizzy and box? I think by 89 they had the dizzy with the module on the side.

The only thing I'm worried about with the dizzy is that I have a 429, I don't think the windsor dizzy will work. Other than that, I don't know much about it but I'm researching!

Yeah I think you're right. If I go the DII route I'll probably buy a reman dizzy, new coil and box, then salvage a wire harness.

The FI engines have the module, yes.

Looked at it today and it doesnt have the duraspark ingnition system. It has the newer dizzy with the module built into the side. sorry guys. The demo here is only allowing 2wd 1/2 ton trucks this year. Wont let you run 4x4 even with driveshaft out,. Owell we will find another one. I am picking up an 89 ford tempo this weekend for the Figure 8 race at the fair. And if its still running after the figure 8 race they have a demo for whoever is still running. Gonna try to hit a few derbies this summer.
